Just put some photos into the Photo gallery of what the children have made so far for Christmas.

Also received the Tree pack from the Woodland Trust/Sainsburys Active Kids vouchers.  Kept 2 Rowan trees and 2 Cherry Trees and gave the rest to Manselton School/Waun Wen School.

Lots of cooking - rock cakes, fairy cakes, bread pudding, banana fairy cakes, cheese biscuits, choc chip cakes, and oaty biscuits.

Half term and Inset days

Thurs

6 children - Played in garden, cooking, made masks and played with toys.

Fri

5 children - Went to Cwmbwrla park.  Huge puddles.  Children jumped in them and got soaked.  Had to change everyone when they got home but they did enjoy themselves.

Mon

6 children - Went to Manselton park.  When we came home played on computer, did Halloween crafts, played with toys and played with Leap Pal and Leap Pad.

Tues

6 children - Went up Manselton park.  No buggies so went up Racecourse, down incline and on to Cwm Level park.  Played in garden in the afternoon.  Made pictures with Halloween stampers.

Wed

6 children - Went to Brynmelyn park.  Played in garden.  Pumpkin and cat pictures.  Dressing up clothes - who could look the scariest!

Thurs

4 children - Manselton park.  Played in garden.  Fisher Price 'doorway' and children made a tunnel to go through out of a table, chairs and big piece of material. Made letters, parcels and postcards which they posted through the letterbox.  Took it in turns to be the postman.  Did loads of jigsaws.

Fri

Only 3 children today.  Walked to Aldi to buy something for Pass the Parcel and some party food.  Made double amount of fairy cakes and decorated with icing and halloween sweets.

Had a Halloween party.  Children dressed as a cat, skeleton and witch.  They won books and lollipops in Pass the Parcel.  Listened and danced to spooky music.  Ate far too many sweets.

Now have 6 b/a school children (different days)  2 in afternoon nursery and 1 full timer at home with me.

Sainsburys vouchers - cake cooling trays have arrived.  Have been baking lots of cakes/cookies - banana cakes, rock cakes, fairy cakes, tweetie pies, plain cookies, chocolate/peanut cookies - children learning how to measure ingredients, crack eggs, mix/cream/rub in also enjoying eating them.  Luckily they like doing the washing up as well.

Outdoor grant - figs, runner beans, blackberries ready to eat. 

While its been dry have been playing in front garden with sand/water tray, skipping rope games, bikes, flower pot walkers, balls and golf set.

We have also been to the library and the local parks.

Monday - 7 children - Childrens play team - Montana Community Centre - sticky pads pictures, plaster casts, painting, drawing, face painting, parachutes games, basketball, bats and balls, soft play.

Tuesday - 8 children - Hafod park - Childrens play team - clay modelling, water balloons, water slide, painting, face painting, sand/water trays, chalks, popoids, plaster casts.  Went to the playground before and after it.

p.m. made 2 lots of playdoh and baked Tweetie pies and chocolate fairy cakes.

Wednesday - weather bad so didn't go out

Thursday - 5 children - library then played out the front with golf set, balls, bikes, skipping ropes, flower pot walkers.  Cooking - made rock cakes and chocolate cookies.

Friday - 5 children - Brynmelyn park.

Lots of activities every day - games, art/crafts, computer, toys, imaginary play, dancing/singing etc.

Taught children how to finger knit - made flowers and showed them how to make friendship bracelets.

Monday - 6 children - Montana Community Centre - Childrens Play team - made sticky pictures, painted, ball games, soft play equipment, face painting, made things with pipe cleaners etc.

Tuesday - 6 children - Hafod park - Childrens Play Team - sand tray, water tray, soft play equipment, threaded beads to make necklaces, sticky pictures, ball games, face painting, etc. Also played in the playground.

Wednesday - 4 children - Brynhyfryd library then Birmingham mount in Plasmarl - Childrens Play Team - sand tray, cardboard boxes, threaded beads, ball games, kites, face painting, plaster casts, soft play equipment, etc. 

Thursday - 4 children - Manselton park then Birmingham mount - Childrens play team - same as yesterday.  On way home went to park by Plasmarl school then to Cwm level park.

Friday - 4 children - Manselton park.

Also played every day in the garden with the sand pit, paddling pool, water tray, skipping ropes, flower pot walkers and balls.

In the house the children played with playdoh, painted, painted stampers, drawing, colouring, k'nex, lego, other building materials and loads more.

Outdoor grant

Now picking runner beans, red and orange tomatoes, lettuce and carrots.  The figs are going brown so should be ready soon (only trouble is I will have to climb a ladder to pick them).
